LIVING BETWEEN THREE-THOUSAND-METRE PEAKS

The “Zillertal” in the winter

About

Peaks, way above 3,000 meters high.
Gleaming white slopes.
Alpine nature.
And in the middle of it, a population that has learned over centuries to live with and from the mountains.

This is how the “Zillertal” in the Tirol, in the Austrian Alps, presents itself.
Here, snow is the pivotal point for all life. It defines the course of nature just as it does the everyday life of the people. In the documentary, an Alpine environment opens up to the viewers in the field of tension between untouched landscape, mass tourism and tradition that is lived.
